Last night proved to be one of the best of the event. I went down to a party thrown by Clearleft, Boagworld and @media 2007 called the “Great British Booze-up“.

It seemed to lack the expected warm beer and pork scratchings, but it was a highlight for me. Fierce conversations and good Mexican food - thanks to everyone for being great.

We had some group chats about whether you have to be focussed to be creative - my argument was that my sometimes random creative processes help me get more done by being open to new things as they hit me during the day. Others prefer the structure of deadlines to get things done - I seem to work better when I can just create something that I need to get out, then move on to the task at hand.

At the end of the event Andy Budd gave out some copies of his CSS Mastery book. One of them seemed to take on a life of its own - more about this later…
