Yesterday I spent a couple of hours facilitating a panel at a one day mini conference called Boosted.
There were a series of Q&A panel discussion running throughout the day, and the one that I was part of was on the subject of digital imaging along with some impressive speakers:
John McCrea - a very talented and prolific comic book illustrator who’s worked on most of the Marvel world of characters as well as a bunch of his own creations, including an upcoming Muslim superhero - should be interesting.
Max Kandhola - a fine art photographer, lecturer, author, essayist and expert on all things photographic. He is a board member of the fantastic Rhubarb Rhubarb festival too, which is one of Birmingham’s shining lights in my opinion.
Greg McLeod - one of the Brothers McLeod, he is an illustrator, animator and short film maker who showed us some very funny micro-content and adverts that they have produced together.
The hour and a half Q&A session was very open format so it bounced around quite randomly between tangents, but all in all I think it was pretty good. I wish we could have got into some more detail on a few of the issues, but with something as wide as ‘digital imaging’ that was a little difficult…
